By red tape, I ment any response to
catrophies these days seem to be delayed.
The last contact with the sub was 10:00 am
Sunday morning. Methods of rescue should
have been implemented in a more expedient
manor. Some efforts were even turned down
Search? Doesn’t that meshuggah U-boat have transponders and emergency beacons?
Well they don’t even know WHERE to respond TO.
The Sub members resort to banging on walls every 30 minutes.
Why didn’t sub carry a Airplane style Beacon that was activated
before the dive?
When I say activated I mean that the beacon makes constant pings
regardless of if it has been exposed to water.
Would have been a great asset to the search team.
The comments say offers to rescue were turned down. Russia? Why post if you don’t give details?
Just asking for a Harry Reid’s friend, who is paying for the rescue effort?
I would have thought some sort of an EPIRB was standard equipment - by maritime law
Anyone?
Of course if one of those underwater currents pushed them into being entangled...then maybe one couldn’t have been released?
[The underwater rescue record is 1,575 feet.]
Wow. Which one was that?
The deepest underwater rescue ever accomplished, officially, was that of the commercial submarine Pisces III, off the coast of Ireland in 1973.

Thank you
I hope for the CEO’s sake there’s no 50 year-old white guys on the Rescue Team.
Mr Rush was warned but fired the worker that called out the unsafe conditions on this sub because he was a boring 50+ ex-Navy white guy.
I do hope they survive but the guy needs to be sued into bankruptcy over his careless attitude.
What red tape delayed getting any help from anywhere??
On closer look, I would file this under “designed for disaster”.
Certainly not worth 250k either
At this point it’s no longer a rescue mission but a salvage expedition
I have no pity for them. They are absolute FOOLS.
The ocean does not care, hope or pity. Anyone who does not realize this and skips appropriate precaution is a fool.
Hopefully the "tapping" rumor will keep the Hunter story out of the news another day, then it's just old news.
Bingo, NN.
This isn’t nearly as simple as many folks seem to think.
