As you note, this is NOT the ghetto. Mostly nice houses, and definitely mostly middle class. These kids wouldn’t last five seconds in Compton, but they want to LARP.
The culture is broken.
Compton's residential neighborhoods also consist mostly of bungalow-type houses, and the city was once middle class. My aunt is from there. Barbara Bush described Compton as "lovely" when she lived there with her husband George and son George W., on the corner of Santa Fe and Myrrh.
