Offensive operations against a dug in enemy with artillery and air superiority has NEVER been a good bet in the history of modern warfare.
This is especially true when that enemy has had months to prepare and they have degraded your artillery capability. Last year the Russians fought a war they were ill-prepared for and the Ukrainians performed heroically in a mobile defense. This year, the Ukraine has been forced to fight a war on terms that favor Russia and it shows.
The Ukrainians cannot win a war of attrition against Russia. It does not make me “pro-Putin” to say this, it is just a tragic fact for both the Ukrainians, Russians, and my kids and yours.
Oh no you don’t get to be not pro Putin just because you are calling it like you see it. Any objective observation of fact that differs from the Ukraine is winning narrative is pro Putin.
