That right there shows everyone that Pence has no plans at all to be win the nomination.
It also shows how unprepared he is to even debate any of the candidates. That’s a pretty rudimentary question, for a candidate to know the answer of, canned answer or not. But he wasn’t prepared. He not in this to win it.
