Governor Noem should immediately call a special session of the Legislature to address the issue of imminent domain. That armed guards are being used to “protect” survey teams shows the tyranny being used to push this project. It is ironic that the “polluting” CO2 comes from those “green” ethanol plants. Note many members of Congress from the area, particularly South Dakota Senator John Thune, are virtual whores of the ethanol lobby.

Has anyone considered the possible effects of injecting high pressure CO2 into deep underground formations? Oklahoma has experienced in increase in earthquakes purportedly due to fluid injection into oil and gas wells.

The allegedly GOP governors and legislatures of both SD and ND support the pipeline including using eminent domain. Iirc enough allegedly GOP llegislatures in IA combined to block action against it this year also. Greenie lobby money at work.
