“ you got it! the communists infiltrated the USA and took it over, culminating with Barry Soetero!”

Very much so and there has always been a huge overlap with so-called gay rights movement.

Maybe the mods would believe it was breaking news if gigantic swastika flags were raised in Berlin while Euro leaders watched.

Of course, such events in the Czarist capital of Russia should be in breaking news.

Putin’s speech at the economic forum in St. Petersburg has ended.

The main things:

-The Russian Federation will attack F-16s, even if they are not in Ukraine.

- 5 Patriot systems were destroyed near Kiev.

- Attacks on the Kremlin and the Belgorod region are attempts to provoke serious retaliatory actions by Russia.”

- During the counterattack, Ukraine has already lost more than 600 tanks and armored vehicles.

- Very soon Ukraine will not be able to fight because it will run out of equipment.

- The ratio of Russian losses to Ukrainian losses is 1 to 10.

- Poland wants to bring western Ukraine under its control.

“ And Putin has been a leader openly promoting Christianity.”

Um, he banned evangelism.

I don’t put many things in Breaking News on FR and I believe that when I do the content warrants the attention and broad FReeper commentary. Which IS the reason for the Breaking News sidebar. So I thought.

“ Better than a rainbow flag flying over the White House”

It’s the same thing.

At a ceremony today presided over by Gazprom Neft in St. Petersburg...

Gazprom Russian majority state owned multinational energy corporation was created August 8, 1989 in the final year or so of the USSR (Soviet Union).

It transitioned intact to the Russian Federation on the final day of existence of the USSR, December 26, 1991.

I would be correct to display both the flag of the USSR and the Flag of the Russian Federation at an event or conference by Gazprom.

You are correct.

I remember a few years ago, at a lot of European soccer games, you would see advertising for Gazprom everywhere.

True. Close friends of mine there were survivors of the Siege of Leningrad. Quite some stories they had they had to tell.

St. Petersburg is such a beautiful city. When I was there during the tail end of the Yeltsin years, the poverty and desperation (and cruelty of the oligarchs and their mafia “enforcers”) were heartbreaking. Still, the old beauty of the city shone through, and perhaps inspired its inhabitants. Those who say architecture inspires culture are likely on to.something.

While the US is telling them to accept faggots, and stop using Air Conditioning because of Climate Change.
