I’m not aware of any pro-Desantis cult. I am aware of the only-Trump cult, and the anyone-but-Trump response. Desantis looks good to me, but anyone but Trump can win in 2024, and we really need to win!
Why not Trump? He will lose! The only people in America who now think he didn’t assault E. Jean Carroll are members of the only-Trump cult. There are others, like me, who really don’t care if he did or not; we like most of his public policies and will vote for him in a general election against a Rat. But a majority of Americans, especially American women, will not vote for Trump. The 2020-style Rat fraud may not even be needed in 2024 if Trump is the GOP nominee.
The only-Trump-cult rant that Judge Kaplan is a leftist and the jury were just delusional New Yorkers won’t sell. Alvin Bragg & Jack Smith are leftists, and their anti-law indictments only greatly help Trump. But as far as I can tell Lewis Kaplan is just a hard-nosed judge who takes no nonsense from anyone.
Trump lost in Kaplan’s court, will lose again next January, and will lose in November 2024 if as now seems likely he is the Republican nominee. It seems like an unfolding Greek tragedy to me, and I wish I knew what to do about it.
