Thank you.

It is amazing how much FRers act just like the Dems they so despised all these decades.

It was kind of funny how many times Dems created some rule or law specifically to strong-arm a Republican, then have it turned around on THEM (think Clinton’s Special Prosecutor, for starters).

Fools do not think ahead. And it is asinine. You covered the issue well - the president is not to be king (and they weren’t thinking of classified systems back then; the first sentence of Article II gives no specific indication about what “executive power” means). And allowing communists like Xiden and other Dems that same power is scary. But they would have to admit it exists.

But not surprising. There's a frustration that Dems win because they don't obey the law, while Republicans lose gracefully while maintaining their principles.

MAGA conservatives like Trump because he behaves like a Dem, i.e., he plays to win, rules be damned. I've heard FReepers come out and say so explicitly. They want a leader who's a bull in the Deep States's china shop, trampling on all the rules and smashing everything in sight.

To some extent, I sympathize. Although I'm not as blind to Trump's many faults as some of his more ardent supporters.
