That is a distinction without a difference. And no, it is not misdirection, intentional or not ( in my case it was unintentional (SEE BELOW FOR HOW I SEE THINGS ) ):
If I am American, I am by DEFINITION, a CITIZEN of America.
too bad the constitution doesn’t say just citizen, but natural born citizen in who can run for president. They used those words for a reason. unfortunately many don’t get it.
