How does "133x greater" equate to a "13,200%" increase I am not following the math and neither number appears in the published study.
Percentage increases and increases measured as a multiple are always tricky and confusing. I simplify and work up from there. So...
1X greater would be a 100% increase, right? If you had 100 of something and a 1X increase, you’d have 200 of that thing. That’s a 100% increase from the original 100.
Following that, 10X greater would be a 1,000% increase and 100X greater would be a 10,000% increase.
But, to be precise, you also have to subtract 100% from the final value. So 133X = 13,300% - 100% = 13,200%.
