I don’t understand why so many on Free Republic, have such strong dislike for DeSantis.
Some even say, he’s a fine governor, he’s done a great job, but he isn’t ready for prime time, he’s a RINO in spite of some strong conservative credentials, etc.
If someone prefers Trump to DeSantis, that’s fine. I prefer Trump to DeSantis. Someone will be the Republican nominee in 2024. You can prefer one candidate or another, without having such disdain for other candidates.

I thought the ultimate goal was to keep democrat out of the White House. Not destroy each other
Because they're members of the Trump cult, as simple as that.
And I think Trump did a good job as a President. He was able to overturn Roe vs Wade, which I thought was impossible. That said, this is no longer 2016. Now it's 2024. Trump had his shot. Time to give somebody else a chance. If we want to win.
FWIW, I like both Trump and DeSantis.
