As this offensive continues I suspect I am going to hear more and more of “they were never there” Just like the Kherson and Kharkiv offensive excuses.
I'll bet that the poor Ukrainian Army schlubs in Kherson city had the blood drain from their faces when they heard that their own government blew up the Nova Kakhovka dam.
They knew they'd be getting orders to load on the trucks for delivery to the conveyor belt for Ukie cannon fodder for the Eastern meatgrinder.
They had it easy getting plastered by Russian artillery across the river for a few months.
No danger of getting fodderized by the Piano Puppet.
When/if the Ukrainians take Melitopol or Berdyansk or Mariupol I’ll concede Russia has lost the war.
