I agree about the insane part. That being said, they are going to lose armor sent, including newer armor such as the German tanks. Thius is to be expected. Disappointing, yes, but not unrealistic in war and using new to them equipment with limited training time available before needed at front. Much more will be needed to continue this. Much. much more. And likely, foreign troops volunteering for front line duties as well, to the extent they can be enticed or directed to deploy there. We appear to be committed to this and there is likely much much more to happen before that changes meaningfully.

I expect us to get involved eventually. Ukraine can’t defeat Russia, even with the aid they’re getting.

About the only thing that could really help The Ukrainians at this point is a massive infusion of ground and air weapons operated by experienced western “volunteers” . Or direct NATO intervention. We just don't have that much more to give since we have already transferred too much of our war reserves to Ukraine
