The Lithuanians of today have trouble acknowledging the past wrongs in fact they seem in utter denial would rather be angry about Russia and Putin than deal with their own not so glorious heritage.

They were victimized by the Communists that’s true but they made the call to join the Nazis in opposition to the Communists oops.

Those were the only options they had in 1941-45.
At least the nazis didn’t invade them, not that they wouldn’t have if they had felt the need, but so it was. If the nazis are the only “friendlies” around then they are your allies by default.

Poland had the option (a very poor one as it turned out) to align with the western allies. That’s because the nazis started off by doing unto them what the Soviets were doing unto the Balts.

Dealing with their heritage is not a proximate problem, if it is one at all. The Russians and Putin are a problem of here and now.

Lithuania was forced to give Memel back to the Germans in 1939.
