These “blow it up with a tweet”, “shoot it down with a zinger” headlines are sophomoric and misleading. Only in a fantasy world (and on a Perry Mason TV show) are such court cases dismissed summarily, in such a sweeping, satisfying manner. Conservatives are hoping for a deus ex machina.

there will be outcomes NOT expected from the desantis, mitch, “please clap” bush and hillary crowd when they all decided to pursue this against the president.
the system may be complex and appear to be powerful but not all of it is under their control.

In other words, criminal cases don't get easily tossed, even when they never should have been approved. This is all part of the destruction of constitutional checks on the criminal justice system as the country has become more authoritarian.
