The End Endless Wars Act was introduced by Senator Rand Paul on Thursday. He was joined by fellow Republican Senators Mike Lee, J.D. Vance, and Mike Braun.
I have continuously led the fight to reassess our foreign policy, to end our “forever wars” and bring our fighting forces home. That’s why I’m introducing the End Endless Wars Act today! pic.twitter.com/3F0J8lEIFX — Rand Paul (@RandPaul) June 8, 2023
Presidents from both Republican and Democrat parties have reportedly used the 2001 Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) as justification to launch unilateral military operations abroad against targets unrelated to the 9/11 hijackers.
In March, Congress had decided to remove the AUMFs from 1991 and 2002 in a 66-33 vote. The 2001 AUMF was intended to be abolished, but Paul’s amendment to that bill had been rejected in a 9-86 vote.

We could end these “forever wars” a hell of a lot faster if we can keep the azzho warriors in Congress the hell out of being involved in conducting them. Those bastards on Capistol Hill want them to continue. Like I’ve always said, “The azhos on Capistol Hill have killed more soldiers than all of America’s enemies put together.” Those bastard politicians need to take over the fight after a certain period of time and let the military sit on its asses up on The Hill and make up “ROEs” for the bastards to have to fight under.
Start drafting the politician’s kids and watch how quickly they end these wars.
It’s high time that the voters stop voting for the people, that want these endless wars, like Graham
I would LOVE to see such an act, hopefully simple enough to be utterly clear, be forced into a tallied, public vote. Make the 100 senators vote for or against war, and then take their vote home to their constituents in the next election.
Here's an interesting thought experiment. Name the last four wars fought by the United States in which we won and some stable peace was achieved for a time. We can start with WWI, and then....?
Like it...We need to end wars - and not involved with wars that doesn’t concern us.
