Ending student loans would lead to only the wealthy getting a higher education. A possible solution would be to limit student loans to STEM and a few other closely controlled degree paths.
It seems possible that the proliferation of ‘studies’ degree paths are no more than a leftist construct to ensure that brain-washing of students is continued generation after generation. After all the only place a ‘studies’ diploma is worth anything is in the higher education system and that is where most of those diplomas now work. A ‘studies’ degree is worthless to the real work environment.

One recalls that under Obama the federal government started making loans. Decades earlier, a private and standard loan was available, but being "credit" merit related, they were not easily plucked from the financial tree by those not meriting. The federal government should not be a loan maker, period.
