The utter corruption of thought and language starts right there, with the media's use of "trans women." They are not women. They are mentally ill men wishing to be women, which is a natural impossibility. Also the use of "biological women," which seems to follow from the former, is superfluous. What else would a woman be but a biological one?

Long ago I had an American History prof that had certain woke beliefs about the Civil War and expected her students to regurgitate them on her tests if we wanted passing grades, I used her own words verbatim on those tests, got a top grade and gladly moved on from her class believing she was wrong and an idiot, but I kept up my GPA.
Ending student loans would lead to only the wealthy getting a higher education. A possible solution would be to limit student loans to STEM and a few other closely controlled degree paths.
It seems possible that the proliferation of ‘studies’ degree paths are no more than a leftist construct to ensure that brain-washing of students is continued generation after generation. After all the only place a ‘studies’ diploma is worth anything is in the higher education system and that is where most of those diplomas now work. A ‘studies’ degree is worthless to the real work environment.

One recalls that under Obama the federal government started making loans. Decades earlier, a private and standard loan was available, but being "credit" merit related, they were not easily plucked from the financial tree by those not meriting. The federal government should not be a loan maker, period.
I feel no sympathy for the student. What did she expect taking a gender studies course?

Under Obama, the Feds took the personal bank loans away from the banks & put them under Federal jurisdiction.
REMOVED legally earned interest from local banks.
Friend of mine got caught up in that debacle-—and she has continuing problems with the Fed system Obama set up for the payments.
Once a year, she has to talk most of the day off & sit with the local ‘processors’ of her payments & PROVE TO THEM that she had paid every payment on time-—electronically. BANK STATEMENTS along with affidavits from her bank and hours of arguing with the Obama ‘processors’.
She never had any problems when the local bank handled her student loans.
Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies
Anyone taking this class should expect liberal BS to be the norm.
