San Francisco first responders saluted LGBTQ flag in video ripped by conservatives on social media
A video of San Francisco first responders saluting a "Progress Pride" flag while in uniform went viral on Thursday.
The SF Sheriff's Office posted a video on social media of their third annual Pride flag-raising ceremony on Monday. This year, law enforcement chose to fly the Progress variation of the Pride flag.
Uniformed officers from the Sheriff, Police and Fire Departments are seen in the video solemnly saluting the LGBTQ flag after an officer raises it above a county jail. The text, "A call for unity, visibility, equality," appears on-screen in front of a rainbow uniform patch. Another officer wears a rainbow hat.

The SFSD has been infected by rot ever since Micheal Hennessey, former prison rights attorney, nailed down the spot over seven elections, with, at one point, a convicted murderer as his chief deputy.
So no surprise.

Since they are in San Francisco, next time they should just bend over and spread-em. That should make the Rainbow Mafia happy.

This version adds colors for blacks, transgenders and non binary but it does so on the side with the idea of “progress made but progress still needed.” It’s very strange. I don’t get why transgenders don’t see themselves in the rainbow. Also why are blacks being pulled into the alphabet soup iconography? Obviously there are black lesbians, bisexuals and gays but that’s true of all ethnicities. Why are they singled out?
Putting blacks separate in a space that says “progress needed” ghettoizes them and reminds them they are different, separate and not full members of the gay community??? How’s it not racist? And yes I am well aware of the acceptance issues of gays among men in the black community and the down low culture but that’s got nothing to do with the gay community, right? Gays would never be racist and fetishizing, right?
There was a different version that included more horizontal striped colors meaning they are all equal but that’s not good enough apparently.
Give me Old Glory and I will see myself and any American in the red, white and blue.
If they fly that stupid rainbow flag next to Old Glory it had better be subordinate to Old glory, but then they wouldn’t understand or care.
I had a buddy who was cop in SF. He said the worst part of the job was dealing with the entitled wealthy. He hated answering calls in Pacific Heights and said they were the most demented too.
