This arrest was in the county where we live - Hall County. Made the news here same day. This was far north Hall — serious rural, woodsy, don’t-F-with-me/FAFO region.
There’s a meth problem up there. Everyone knows that. Thus ‘everyone’ is armed in their home and vehicle, and many carry.
Everywhere north and west of Gainesville, Ga is deep red and the Sheriff and his deputies reflect that.

P.S. not all of the Hall County deputies fit the stereotype of the Boss Hogg physique. Many of the men and women are in great shape and notably high-speed, low-drag.
