I would like to know which Americans bought $297 million worth of Bud Light during the month of May?
As Equine1952 noted, that may be a global sales figure. I can't tell one way or another.
That said, remember that there's enough Leftist idiots out there to make a contest of any election, and a good chunk of them are probably buying Bud Light, be it still buying it, or buying it to support the delusional trans cause.
Then factor in apathy- people who just don't care, or maybe those who are uncomfortable buying Bud Light but still do so because it's their favorite.
There'll definitely be some that take advantage of the massive price cuts and/or rebates we've seen on Bud Light, especially younger people (think college age and/or broke).
All the above said, it'll be interesting to see what sales numbers are once we're in July- I imagine a good chunk of beer distribution/sales contracts are done on a quarterly basis, and this thing started in Q2. There may well be a significant stepwise drop off in sales as Q3 starts on July first and distributors say "hell no!" to renewing quarterly contracts with transweiser...

** Just wanted to comment on my own post: yeah, I work for a company whose fiscal quarters are aligned with the regular calendar, and so I used those out of habit. I’m well aware that many (most, actually, I suspect) would use different Q1/Q2/Q3 etc dates than I did in my post.
