Sadly, the TV providers also provide most of the Internet connections we use at home.
They get paid either way. Cutting the cord is good, but it can only make a dent.

I pay 39.99 per month for internet only and there are no carriage fees like the networks enjoy. The networks are the problem, not the providers.
