This is from the Florida statute; Justifiable Use of Force Title XLVI, Chapter 776

Section 776.013 Home protection; use or threatened use of deadly force; presumption of fear of death or great bodily harm.—

(a) The person against whom the defensive force was used or threatened was in the PROCESS of unlawfully and forcefully entering or had unlawfully and forcibly entered, a dwelling, residence, or occupied vehicle,

Note the use of the phrase “in the process of.” You do not have to wait for the successful completion of the unlawful entry.

Since the local public insisted that she be arrested overruling local law enforcement decision. And because the justice system is broken, they will find her guilty despite what the code says. Then the code means absolutely nothing. If the code had any weight she would have never been arrested and charged at all.

Just because it is technically legal to wave a loaded firearm around at people with your finger on the trigger doesn’t mean it is very intelligent to do so.
