Every now and again, the left says exactly what they truly think. This past week, a cadre of left-wing commentators took a break from lecturing the rest of the nation about civility — "Wear a mask! Check your privilege! Bake the cake, bigot!" — to review my new book, "Manhood: The Masculine Virtues America Needs."

Before you take the fortress you've got to take out the warriors. We've got light in the loafers soy boys controlling the narrative in this once great nation. The Guardian calls him a "neo-Confederate". Not sure that's an insult.

They are not going to just leave you alone.
Live and let live is not part of their plan.
Our cultural rot has zero to do with “statists” prying into “private bedrooms.”
The era of being able to just grill is over.
It’s at least as bad as you suspect.
Your grandparents and great grandparents were right about pretty much everything.

“Neo-Confederate” is a pretty effective insult, even if it shouldn’t be. Liberals will hate him for obvious reasons, while conservatives will twist themselves into knots about “Democrats” being the “real racists.” The point of the book can easily be lost in all of that.
