“Of course republicans think what I’m about to say is crazy but they should start charging these district attorneys with crimes in return for misusing the criminal process.”
I am not a lawyer, but I sometimes play one on FreeRepublic. I did stay in a Holliday Inn Express sometime in the early two-thousands. Here’s how I understand the “justice system.” A Sherriff is a county official. He recommends charges to the county attorney, sometimes confusingly called a state’s attorney. But the county prosecutorial system is normally used for crimes in the county. A different authority, usually the Highway Patrol or the State Police recommend charges at the state level. The state of Texas could sue the state of Florida in civil court for damages. Criminal charges would be investigated by the FBI and an indictment would be made by the federal Department of Justice. In short, any sheriff recommending this or that is blowing smoke from his lower orifice. Presumably Florida is acting with the knowledge and approval of Texas, express or implied. It’s unlikely that any actual charges would be brought because nobody knows how the federal courts and later the Supremes might rule and nobody would like to chance a random crapshoot that could either narrowly define the powers of all governors or greatly expand them. Either outcome could be much worse than just letting sleeping dogs lie.
Makes about the same level of sense...
Sheriff must be on the Sauce.
Discovery will be good times!
The left doesn’t need evidence. What evidence was entered in the sexual assault case against Trump? There was none. The left, whether on the federal or state levels, can indict and get convictions against criminal Republicans. Meanwhile, the Republicans are still “investigating” and telling us all these crimes committed by Hitlery, Hunter, Biden himself, but there’s never any charges. No one is convicted. That’s how the justice system in America works! Cool, huh?
The guy is an idiot.
Could you imagine yourself crossing into a foreign country by evading their border guards, and instead of being sent back or detained you have govt sanctioned people driving you further into the heart of the nation so you can be put up in hotels, get three squares a day, free phone, medical, lawyers etc but then you also hear that these dumb people are taking each other to court, clogging up the system even more, all because you weren’t taken exactly where you might have wanted to go??? Do you think if we all did this in any other Nation they’d be falling all over themselves to accommodate us including taking long-term billions of dollars from their own tax paying citizens? These people are pawns in a political war.
And a traitor!
And other sorts of fun hardcore drugs.
‘they should start charging these district attorneys with crimes in return for misusing the criminal process.’
That’s smart, giving them a taste of their own medicine! I like that!
Bexar County Sheriff’s Deputy Johnny Garcia needs to be deported for aiding and abetting foreign invaders.
How much money is this county getting for this stunt?
Many early reports stated that ILLEGAL INVADERS would be taken to WHERE THEY WISH TO GO.....
IF they are making these choices——what next???
Per city charter, all mayors run as independent. Make no mistake, though, Ron Niremburg is a major lefty. He won in 2017 over Ivy Taylor (black, female, and also Democrat) after she asked about how a proposed gay rights bill would affect religious liberty. Mayor Taylor also had the audacity to defeat Leticia Van de Putte in her first election, so she was already unpopular with the local lefty media.
“Per city charter, all mayors run as independent.”
Yes, now that you mentioned that, I remember someone else told me that a while ago.
