A lot of unknowns in this developing situation, “merger” might be a rather strong term to use, all we really know is that the tours (PGA, DP World formerly European Tour, and LIV Golf) will manage operations under some common umbrella group, and there “may” be a path back to play in certain PGA Tour events for LIV players (DP World Tour had allowed them in on some events anyway).
Players on PGA tour are said to be unimpressed but we’ll see what actually happens. It won’t change anything about rest of the 2023 seasons.
