I wonder if the Founding Fathers knew what the hell they were doing when they decided to give EVERYONE the right to vote no matter how retarded they are

The founding fathers did NOT give everyone the right to vote. At the time only men (and in many areas only property owners) could vote.

Congress over the years has changed the rules first woman and then 18 year old (and don’t forget when they changed the way Senator were selected).

Now there is talk of allowing non-citizens to vote (not that they have not been doing so already, just making it legal.)

Check my memory...wasn't the right to vote not just for white landowning men,but free men (not slaves or indentured servants) of any ethnicity that owned land too?

History conveniently forgets there were free blacks, Texicans, former Spanish subjects, Chinese, and even Native Americans that owned land, businesses, slaves, etc prior to 1865.
