Eric Adams is considering Churches and Private Residences for housing illegals.
“It is my vision to take the next step to this faith-based locales and then move to a private residence... They have spare rooms."

No landlord in their right mind, especially after the illegal rent moratorium diktats, would ever allow such a government intrusion.
“The Third Amendment to the Constitution prohibits, in peacetime, the quartering of soldiers in private homes without the consent of the owner of the home. It states that “[n]o Soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.””

The City isn’t going to force people to take in the illegals. They are asking them to voluntarily do so.
Of course you would have to be mad to take in foreigners who haven’t been vetted.

I doubt they’ll be given a choice. Welcome to “Camp of the Saints”
It would be cheaper for NYC to pay $50/night to a homeowner to house a conquistador than to spend hundreds of dollars a night to house the conquistador in a hotel.
And they won’t care and the Guests will never leave. This must be declared unconstitutional TODAY!
Won't say what I think people should do in response.
Hence the Second Amendment.
Put your order in early.
Want a 14 year old girl, a 12 year old boy, a cook, a gardener, a maid? Find out who will be on the selection committee and bribe the $hit out of them.
Grrrrr.

Apparently, illegal aliens are now agents of the state.

I suggest we ‘quarter’ them on an airplane seat back to their home country.
Knowing the Left, I would tack on "for now".
I'm old enough to remember the evolution of seat belt laws. Same "logic" applies.
Adams should include his mansion and residence for housing of illegal migrants, plus the government buildings that have empty rooms.
and they won’t finish the border wall! We live in “interesting” times.
I might be wrong, but I believe Germany and others have forced this on some of their citizens. That you have a elderly couple in a spacious, government subsidized accommodation. They are forced out to a smaller residence, so some 3rd world, lying-ass, asylum seeker turds with 7 children can move into theirs.
BTW all asylum seekers lie their asses off. They do it naturally, plus they get coached by their friends and NGOs about what lies to tell. Lies that will fly with stupid white liberals.
“Boxcars To The Border”
It can have a catchy jingle, with logo banners, and smiling happy citizens waving to the train as it passes Small Town America on it’s way back home...
I could get behind this sort of thing.
“Bennett Field also accommodates public camping, with 46 campsites located on the east side of the field.”
“If built, Rockefeller’s development would contain a shopping mall, an industrial park, 46,100 housing units, and the potential for 180,000 residents.”

I wonder if it will be families already here being paid to house their relatives. This happened in the PNW with Russian immigrants. They could not believe their luck to have the government pay them to care for their parents and grandparents. Since the housed person being paid for needs their own room, sometimes the family will have their children sleep in the living room. IF CPS comes by, the kids go in the parents room until the visit is over. “What a Country!”
“On weekends, which drivers are mandated by law to take as rest days, these parking lots are converted into de facto camping sites where truck drivers lay back to cook and wash their clothes.
“They clean themselves up in petrol station bathrooms or portalets. At night, they curl into the cabins of their trucks to sleep. When the weekend is over, they pick up and deliver a new load.”
