Sorry Rides, you are wrong in part of what you write. The parents do not have to be natural born Citizens themselves, just a U.S. Citizen of any kind before their child is born in the USA, however they acquired it. The parents of the child born in the USA must both be a U.S. Citizen when their child is born, for said child to be a “natural born Citizen” of the United States. The parents can either be born Citizens themselves, or naturalized Citizens who have taken the Oath of Allegiance to the USA wherein they renounce all their foreign birth allegiances.
A “natural born Citizen” is a person born in the country to parents who were both Citizens of the country when their child was born here. The parents can be either born Citizens themselves or naturalized Citizens as long as they were Citizens of the USA when their child was born in the USA. Now do remember folks. Let’s stay on subject here. The subject of my article that was posted at ThePostEmail.com newspaper and shared here is that a false rumor was being circulated that Ron DeSantis’ mother was born in the country of Poland and moved with her parents at some point in time to the USA. That is absolutely false. She was born in/near Poland OH which is in Mahoning County OH abutting the border with PA. And both of her parents were also born in OH and thus were U.S. Citizens all their lives. Thus Ron’s mother was a “natural born Citizen” of the USA, i.e., born in the USA to parents who were U.S. Citizens when she was born. So the person who is spreading and circulating the rumor about Ron’s mother being born in Poland her family moved from there to the USA is either very nefarious or stupid.

But the naturalization must have been done before their child was born so that they are U.S. Citizens when the child is born. They cannot pass along jus sanguinus U.S. citizenship to a child is they were not yet U.S. Citizens.
