To: Faith Presses On

A student assistant who was an anti-Communist Christian young woman from China said “how could a person be so stupid as to think a stunt like that could change anything?” She heard the numbers were in the low thousands for his type who were quickly killed after that day. Totally out of the news, of course.

My idea: The antiwar movement, third parties on ballots, Haight Ashbury, Woodstock and others gave hope of peaceful change. Naive.

Fighting in the open face to face is useless. My opinion.

Someone on FR has posted the Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn quote I cannot locate about how common people could have eliminated the agents one by one quietly long before all of the victims being herded together to go to gulags to die. Then it was much too late.
