Hospitalization risk exists as only 20% of US adults receive booster dose: ‘Uptake has been quite low’
Adults who aren’t current on their COVID-19 vaccine booster doses may have "relatively little remaining protection" against hospitalization compared to those who haven’t been vaccinated at all, suggests a new study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Dr. Shana Johnson, a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician in Scottsdale, Arizona, was not involved in the CDC study but reviewed its findings.
The good news, Johnson said, is that the bivalent mRNA vaccine protects against the most severe COVID-19 outcomes, including hospitalization and critical disease (ICU admission and death), Johnson said. The not-so-good news: The durability or duration of protection was not great, she noted.

Funny they don’t give a number for “durability” of the booster. Is it four weeks? Eight?

Emphasizing that I am not medically trained, I still question if medical history might have turned out happier if vitamin D3 had been discovered before vaccines were discovered and emergence of experimental jabs.

Apparently, it depends on the variant, age, sex and health of person getting a booster
Also, the date you get the so called booster shot. We are just learning that our annual flu vaccines are only really good for 30-60 days. Our area has a big drive to get our flu shots in September. For years, the flu in this area hits after Thanksgiving and into the Christmas/New Year’s holidays.

I didn’t realize Covid was still a thing.
Nobody I know ever mentions it - except maybe when talking about the past. I think most people are embarrassed to admit they fell for it.
I, on the other hand, do enjoy talking about it - and even bring up the subject whenever I can - because I am proud I never believed a word of it. I like to gloat.
It’s straight up medical malpractice to be recommending any more boosters.

My very smart MD didn’t tell me to get vaccine because he knows I have a terrific immune system and he probably saw through the bullschtein. He and his nurse laughed the day I walked in and told them that the CEO of Pfizer caught Covid.
My poor kitty is due for a rabies shot too. Last time, I got the three-year shot and she sank into my lap asleep for three days. Had to take her back to vet for another shot to counteract rabies shot. She’s due again and I may not go at all, and if I do, for a one-year shot as she does hang out with two strays I feed. One has his shots, but the other?
You’re right, she should definitely get rid of the shirt.
