” 800,000 155mm artillery rounds to Ukraine.”

Well that’s the first stop anyway .....

I wonder where some of that load really ends up.
I hear the cartels are in the market for some goodies.

Undoubtedly, the Communist Party of China has not noticed that the US is now running out of most brands of offensive ammunition.

Undoubtedly. So be quiet, don’t tell them.

The Pentagon proudly announced that US artillery ammunition production is now up to 30k rounds PER MONTH, and they hope to double that by 2025. The Russians average about 25k rounds of artillery ammo PER DAY, with surge capacity to 75k rounds per day.
———-
I have Heard other estimates that Russia is producing 200,000 rounds per month , if this 25k day is correct than it’s even much higher than that now

Also another sign that Russia is increasing its war production for the long run

Sadly, too many of those shells are being used on civilians and villages in eastern Ukraine who have been dismissed as separatists and not even being human by Kiev ( and US politicians like Linda Graham and Adam Schiff-for-brains

Precision targeting now makes it obvious the campaign is to kill or drive out millions of Russian speakers encased by Ukrainian political borders, that have voted massively to realign those borders…as Kiev showed a complete unwillingness to observe a Minsk solution that would have kept them Ukrainians but with some autonomy in local decisions, fair political representation, and respect and protection of their culture.

If we can’t produce enough ammo. Perhaps we can outsource it to China. /s

The simple fact is that starting with Bush the US extended the deployment and ops tempo of all branches without procuring sufficient weaponry to replace what was being used.

In the meantime, starting with the drawdown in defense spending under Clinton and consolidation of almost all defense contracting down to a handful of mega defense contractors, the US procurement system was almost rendered completely into a system for delivering hundreds of billions of dollars for weapons that did not work and that were never procured. Everything from the Army's future combat weapons system to the Navy's shipbuilding programs were turned into expensive failures whose primary purpose was funneling money to politically connected contractors. The same is true of NASA.

Producing artillery shells is WWI tech. There isn't any reason why it can't be ramped up quickly except for the fact that the procurement system is utterly broken.

For many decades our foreign policies have choked America off, looted the American treasure, and puts foreign countries and illegal aliens first, where Americans win nothing but death and debt.

It’s long past time that all changes.
