But people still pay good money to send their children to sit under their tutelage.
High school diplomas used to be a method to screen out the riff raf for job openings.
Standards for graduating dropped so low that it no longer worked.
Well surly a collage degree will weed out the nit wit applications ... ha ha
I would hate to be in a position responsible for hiring

I think academia will be the downfall of itself, at least in Western countries. The center of gravity for important research is slowly moving east. What will be left is angry rhetoric masking as advanced thinking.
