OK, That said, if we’re going to vote, we should hold the candidates’ feet to the fire and force answers on important issues. Whether running for local dogcatcher or president of the Divided States, any Republican candidate should be asked the following:

1. Do you support America First economic policies that directly benefit the middle class, even when those policies hurt the interests of multinational corporations, Wall Street bankers, and international institutions advancing globalist agendas?

2. Without verifiable voter identification requirements or trustworthy and transparent vote-counting procedures capable of rendering immediate and reproducible election results, how can America’s elections be considered “free and fair”?

3. While the federal government has persecuted thousands of patriotic J6 protesters for their personal beliefs, why have Republican politicians remained largely silent?

4. Given the accumulation of evidence proving that the federal government is engaging in constitutionally impermissible censorship of Americans’ free speech, why have Republican politicians remained largely silent?

5. Finally, given the tremendous personal and societal injuries caused from the local, state, and federal governments’ unscientific, unprincipled, and unconstitutional COVID authoritarianism, will you resolve now to oppose government-sanctioned censorship, medical tyranny, and all other intrusions into Americans’ personal rights and liberties illegally justified under the guise of “emergency”?

It would be a pleasant surprise if moderators in the debates will brng up these questions ( but I hardly doubt it ).

Nope, it will be: 1) What is your stance on the existential crisis facing America, climate change, and how will you commit to funding it. 2) Given the Republicans have essentially taken away a woman's God given right to an abortion, how will you preserve this essential right for all woman? 3) violence in our cities is rising due to the NRA and guns, what will you do to get all guns off the streets? 4) The LGBTQIFIRLGY+ rights issue should be at the top of everyone's list, how can we make America more diverse with equity and inclusion? 5) People are suffering around the world and we are not doing enough with our open border policy to welcome them. How can we increase our immigration and more easily provide these new citizens with voting rights and welfare?

“1. Do you support America First economic ...”

Thanks for the summary. The questions are laced with preachy editorializing, not mention the verbose introduction preceding the questions.

The answer to #3 is that we are a nation of laws. And these guys were found guilty of some pretty serious things. The average protestor that day was not toss away with the keys thrown away.

And why aren’t Politicians talking about it? Because they understand what a bunch of lunatics they were, and that there is a process that must be followed.

From a political standpoint, its kryptonite...except to a very small portion of the electorate.

#5 continues to demonstrate that the Federal Government only controls the Federal functions and properties. The States performed most of the things you talk about. It is important to understand how these systems work and who is responsible. For about 90% of this stuff—go talk to your State’s Health Commissioner. They, and their governors, were free to do whatever they felt was appropriate. Direct your anger where it can do the most good.

#1 demonstrates a complete misunderstanding of how the economy works in the US. Policies should be made to benefit the country. Policies that pick winners and losers (usually the winners have a tie to the government) instead of allowing the markets to work are long time losers. In a capitalist world, the market will punish losers.

The economy is global—whether you like it or not. We should protect critical infrastructure (Chips, meds, defense) but understand that we will be affected by global economic changes.

#2 is not a Federal issue. Again, the elections are in the hands of the States. Trump did not comprehend that. It was the basis for the disagreement with Barr. Trump needed better lawyers. Pillow salesmen and Rudy were not good choices.
