I get a warning when I click on:
Backlash Grows Over Male Transvestite Greeting Children at Disneyland
It’s not FR that’s been hacked.
I would question anyone going to a site named that to begin with. But, there are lots of blogs using red meat titles to get clicks.
Thanks for the heads up Jeff!
You never raise the red flag unless is possibly real.
I am using Brave and getting the same screen from the link you provided. Have had no issues with other threads (so far).
I occasionally have trouble with FreeRepublic, because of a webpage having a mixed bag of HTTP / HTTPS. The padlock icon will swap out for a red circle. But, all I have to do is reload the webpage 1, or 2, or sometimes 3 times, and the padlock icon displays again: OK.
I do not know what the particulars are, causing that security issue. It happens, and I make sure it is NOT happening before I sign on to FR.
Thanks for the warning.
Goolag is your problem.
Try/use a different browser.

Yeah, Google doesn’t make it easy to see if a site is on their “malicious list”...all I could find was their “API” link that allows Browser coders to access the list:
https://developers.google.com/safe-browsing/v4/lists
and
https://safebrowsing.google.com
The top blocked sites:

No idea if “jimjambo.com” is on the Google list.
No problem on my end
Switch to brave
Are you logged in?
Seriously, I’ve been using brave for several years. It seems rock solid.
I am quite well aware of that fact.
Cease and desist.
Cease and desist what exactly ?
Is there something I am missing ?
prolly image links
thanks
I got the same warning and a flag from my anti-virus/anti-malware software so it’s not a fluke.
I wholeheartedly agree.
Jimjambo.com is my site. It’s hosted by a company called Turbify. Before that , it was Verizon. Before that, it was Yahoo Business. I pay a quarterly fee and use it to store images.
Occasionally, the secure server certificate has a problem. If my images from my site are causing this much trouble, then I’m not getting my money’s worth. I will stop linking to the pictures, and I will get the service discontinued at my earliest convenience.
Message to Turbify: Die, corporate scum.
Naah, keep the domain name...provides a nice way to host photos and get email addresses “@Jimjambo.com”. You might want to consider moving your domain name/site to another provider tho...I use “Pair Networks”....not the absolute cheapest, but rock solid reliability and customer service...”shared server” hosting as low as $7.95/mo.:

That’s what I was thinking. I can keep the name registered with ICANN while ditching Turbify. That way, I can link to my pics without freaking out half ofFR.
