Is there any cam video? Every officer should have his cam on when encountering the public.
Was this a little 70 lb kid or a 170 lb 6 ft figure popping out unexpectedly.
That split second between shoot don't shoot is a bad place to be.
From the picture I saw taken with his lawyer (so recently) the kid was about 4’ 10” and weighed about 80 pounds.
