Your cop rule #3 encompasses a lot of stuff. So within that rule I’d put:
Leave your ego at home.
Look for ways to deescalate.
Understand that not everyone is your enemy.
Another thing I have long held is that nothing turns you off to bad cops more than GOOD cops!
Once you experience what responsible law enforcement is like the bad cops make you even angrier because you know there’s no excuse for their arrogance, violence, and corruption.
