I don't follow the Bushy criticism. Everything he's been doing is far more conservative than them. He has staked himself out as a cultural conservative, definitely pro-family. I listened to his Iowa speech tonight, as latest example, he ticked off all of the important checkboxes. The only one I didn't hear him mention, and maybe I missed it was Ukraine, which I oppose. But if that is my only issue, I can live with that.

I like his clear family ties, family issues. At times he seemed a technocrat but that latter part of the speech, he was quite passionate.

And no Trump name calling, rudeness, etc. Refreshing.

you said ..”I don’t follow the Bushy criticism. “

It just makes me wonder why bushy money is gathering around him. Like you say he seems to be walking the walk.
He has supported the war but not to enthusiastic.. like some.
I fell for the bush head fake and once bitten twice shy.
His vocal stance on the dept deal so far has really gotten my attention.
Chip Roy likes him, and that carries a lot of weight with me.

I have to admit that Trump could bite the head off a kitten on the white house steps .. and I would still vote for him ... but I’m starting to warm up to Desantis .. I don’t think it would take much for me to move in his direction. I hope he keeps walking the walk.
This may be our last chance to get it right.
