A Chicago man who wore a neon yellow “peacekeepers” vest helped a group of people beat and rob a motorist in Little Village on Friday night, according to a Chicago Police Department report.
Oscar Montes, 31, is scheduled to appear in felony bond court Sunday afternoon on charges of robbery, aggravated battery, and unlawful vehicular invasion, a CPD spokesperson said.
City and state officials have lauded the use of “peacekeepers” as a tool they would deploy over the Memorial Day weekend to tamp down violence across the city.

And no, this is not a Babylon Bee article.
I guess they don’t bother to vet their ‘peacekeepers’, just hire any old Thug who can fit the vest and accept the low wages.
Or they could just go back to using the police.

Well, he certainly seems to have first hand experience and is obviously overqualified for his current position. They should put him charge of all the peacekeepers.
There’s no ‘tamping down’ of violence among certain tribes.
Chicago needs to get serious about their crime problem, but of course they won’t.

2 "teens" killed women while driving stolen cars and were given probation.
While in probation, they murdered others.
Another man pled down a kidnapping, rape and assault of a 16 year old girl to probation and was, eventually, convicted of raping another woman.
4 years ago, in the midst of MAGA, we were well on our way to being great, again.
Now, after the "Summer of Love", the plandemic, the stolen election we are fast becoming a Third World, banana republic s**thole.
Most Rat cities are unliveable.
How far and fast we have fallen, all according to plan.

CWBChicago is dedicated to reporting the crime in Chicago and surrounding areas. Other Chicago news sites try to down-play the ever-increasing crime.
There is a certain area of Chicago that reporting shows a robbery gang going into action every couple of days. Look at the site for articles regarding incidents in which “10 people robbed in 30 minutes in a one mile area” or such. Most news site do not report these incidents so people aren’t aware of the gang that is hitting people almost daily.
Since Lightfoot was voted out of office, crime is not going down, it is increasing. Who would have thought there could be someone worse than Lightfoot to be the mayor of Chicago?

Brilliant strategy, Brandon - as per Hey Jackass, the city is already at 12 homicides, which ties the highest Memorial Day Weekend high over the last decade - and there’s still a day and a half to go to set a new one!
