he city Department of Education is ignoring pleas to help an Upper West Side public school so overwhelmed by an influx of migrant kids that it can no longer provide popular programs due to a lack of space, angry parents told The Post.
With 535 students currently crammed into PS 145 – nearly 100 more than what the West 105th Street school is designed to hold – parents said all students, including newcomers from Ukraine, Russia, and Latin America, are suffering for it. Last year, the school had 393 students.
Since the fall, after the city enrolled scores of young asylum seekers – many housed in a former shelter at the nearby Park West Hotel – rooms previously used for a music program, a TV studio where kids produced videos and a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics [STEAM] lab had to be converted into classrooms.
Science equipment, musical instruments, books, and other supplies bought with taxpayer dollars and grants now sit in a cluttered storage closet gathering dust, next to desks for displaced science teachers.
"It’s just unacceptable,” fumed Anna Azvolinsky, who has a daughter in third grade and a son in pre-K. “These kids deserve better.”
Citywide, an estimated 16,000 migrant kids have enrolled in city public schools since the fall — far exceeding about 1,700 who arrived the prior academic year and started school in September.

...HOME SCHOOL ya twit! People have got to start addressing this directly. “Illegal migrants are illegal. They are invaders. They bring disease. They don’t pay taxes! They haven’t earned the right to be here! They don’t care to assimilate because they don’t have to.”

Good and hard.
There are households living a poverty or near poverty levels. The policies of our government have made living and government (taxes) expenses very high. Not all parents are able to homeschool because the expense of living requires 2 wage earners.
We need to offer parents nationwide vouchers that will allow them to enroll their children in the school the parent chooses. If this would be done, anti-parent, anti-Christian public schools would lose their power and influence - IMHO.

They are people who will endure a great deal of hardship to improve their life. I say, deport one liberal for each one of the invaders.

Another great argument for school vouchers. Why should normal Americans have to send their children to schools overrun with illegal aliens? Might as well have drag queens work as hall monitors for the illegals.
You do know that these days it takes two incomes for middle class families to thrive and the poorer to even survive. Besides, most parents don’t have degrees in music, art, and science.
