I don’t really know the details on what they claim Paxton did. But I can believe what he is saying here. Most republicans are just as dirty as any democrat. Time has taught me that.

“Many of the articles of impeachment focused on allegations that Paxton had repeatedly abused his powers of office to help a political donor and friend, Austin real estate developer Nate Paul.”

“In return, the whistleblower lawsuit alleged, Paul paid for all or part of a major renovation of a home Paxton owns in Austin. Paul also helped Paxton keep an extramarital affair quiet by employing the woman Paxton had been seeing, the lawsuit said, adding that the attorney general may also have been motivated by a $25,000 contribution Paul made to Paxton’s campaign in 2018.”

“Most republicans are just as dirty as any democrat. Time has taught me that.”

Which would mean that Paxton is most likely dirty.

He may be corrupt (or not), but you are either just as dishonest are incredibly gullible if you believe that is why he is being persecuted.

Every last one of the rest are doing just as bad and probably far worse.

They never prosecute corruption. They always persecute those who wonder off the plantation.

Texas seems to be irrevocably lost to the blue side...

I don’t really know anything about the guy. I see all these articles and none of them really mention anything about what the guy has done... Good or bad. About the only thing I heard was that he was accused of coming to work drunk.

The difference is that we usually hold our guys Ccountable while the Democrats do not do that. Al Franken was a rare exception. I guess he was really a creep and the Democrats didn't really like him so they got rid of him when they could.

Managed to watch some of the Tx Leg debate on this a few hours ago. Don’t know the outcome yet but to me seems like the same “Trumped Impeachment Charges” from a few years ago. Somebody does not like this guy, I wonder why.

Dunno but politicians on all sides are quick to trot out the lines “I was framed. It’s a conspiracy. Everyone is to out to get me”. So who knows anymore.

I will wait to see what evidence they have.

No, he accused the Speaker of being drunk

“Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said the House Speaker was “in a state of apparent debilitating intoxication” on the House floor on Friday night. Paxton called for Phelan to resign at the end of the legislative session.”

In the event of an invasion, And if the fed gov does nothing, every state has the right to put military on their border for protection.

I have family in El Paso and it’s not safe in that town.. they have been more than invaded.. it isnt safe to leave the house.

I have waited for TX to guard the border.. it’s open for any and all. Tx is busing them north..
Why not close the #%&^ border?!
