Re: 139 - to be honest, the vets I know who have a CIB take a lot of pride and honor in that, including a couple who have a Bronze Star w/ V device. As one explained it, it was a badge that meant that he was there for his platoon (was a Platoon Leader).
Thanks for the info. My brother never talked about his time in Vietnam, and sadly he died of a heart attack at 51. I got his service records from the V.A. after he passed, then searched online for the specific operations he was on with the 25th Infantry during the year he was there, and shared it all with his family.
