Just another weekend in Chicago.
How do you scramble for cover on a beach? Big flat empty stretch of sand. Umbrellas make poor shields against bullets. Only one person can hide behind an ice chest. I guess you could get behind some other people but I wouldn’t want to tell that story afterwards.
Used to be, I could enter the beach at Fullerton just past the Lincoln Park Zoo, walk the beach, look at the pretty girls, and that was it. The only thing I needed to protect myself was a little sun block.
But that was almost 50 years ago.
