HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Frustrated business owners in Hollywood are pleading with the city to help deal with a large homeless encampment growing in the area.
The encampment is near Martel Avenue and Sunset Boulevard. The city cleared out the encampment roughly a year ago, but it's back and growing.
One local business owner blames the city for not policing the area and letting homeless people move back in without any pushback.
Other business owners are so frustrated, they've hired security.
Business owners are not the only ones upset the homeless have moved back in.
Hollywood resident Charlotte Duvall said the situation is "disheartening."

Well, places like REI sell tents. And REI is leaving Portland because people are just walking in, and taking what they want. Maybe that’s happening in CA too.
Instead, NYC the “sanctuary city” is bussing them upstate where conservative New Yorkers are trapped. Princess Kathy even said, publicly, “Gov. Kathy Hochul is imploring suburban county executives to welcome asylum seekers and reject was she called “bigoted policies” that are not what New York stands for.”

business owners dont get to vote, unless they live in the district or the city, which most don’t, since they live in the wealthy suburbs.
Poor elites. They are just like the rest of the blue sanctuary cities. We are sanctuary cities but don’t want illegal aliens to come here.
REI should be glad to contribute to the poor, homeless, just need a little help, wonderful, street thugs.

It didn’t cure the problem because the money was diverted into special interest and politicians bank accounts. Money is being removed from the economy to hasten Cloward-Piven.

I think I see the problem. The city doesn't give a s___t what the business owners think and the business owners are too stupid or naive to understand that.

I’m surprised that the businessmen haven’t pooled together some money to hire “bully boys”, to run the ‘homeless’ out.
If they could get away with doing this a time or two, the ‘homeless’ usually take the hint and go elsewhere.
25% of the southern border states are already doing this.

If you want more of something, subsidize it; if you want less of something, tax it.The more they subsidize bums, the more bums we get.
