At that early date no one had any idea how bad Fauci, Collins and Birx would be at handling the pandemic. Trump certainly was clueless in this regard for at least another year.

My posts are for those swearing (including DeSantis) that they didn’t say or do things they did.
If everyone were honest, they would admit both did the same and hindsight is 20/20. The country was going through mass psychosis which caused most to do terrible things.
But it seems that DeSantis is going to ride this subject for a possible victory because so many rep voters blame ONLY Trump for COVID outcomes. The truth is the governors made those decisions. Until the base stops with that nonsense, DeSantis will stupidly try to use that argument in the primary….and he will lose.
I’m guessing he’s choosing that one because he has no others to differentiate himself from Trump with the exception of personality…..which will alienate Trumpers. He is going to be exposed in the primaries. Trump may be scarred because of the primaries (I personally doubt it, everyone knows exactly who and what Trump is) but DeSantis will ruin his career.
She was would stealthily write things in medical guidelines that she wanted, not what the Trump administration wanted. I forget if I read that in RFK, Jr’s book or Peter Navarro’s.

Covid was about three months old then and it is in retrospect that we have learned that the people we were supposed to rely on were either ignorant and/or liars.

The governor of Florida never unilaterally closed the beaches. He closed some counties when those counties requested he close them.

So you think that when he excoriated Trump for allowing Fauci to become a totalitarian dictator, he meant that the U.S. should never have developed a test to find out who’s sick?
The context here: It’s April 29. DeSantis is opening Florida up for business, revolting against the Fauci-Trump nationwide shutdown. Trump’s puppet-masters shut down the economy, lying about it being only to “flatten the curve.” DeSantis is declaring the curve flattened and the state is reopening.

The guy is eloquent. No doubt about it. I saw him often when Tucker had his show on FOX. I liked what I heard but I don’t know much about him. I imagine he would be sharp in debate. That is if you can call those gotcha sessions debates.
His name Ramaswamy would be a hurdle for him.
My problem is that I can’t see getting too involved because the elections are definitely not on the up and up anymore. We are all going to be at each others throats until Nov of 2024 and all we will get for it is Joe Biden or something even worse like Gavin Nuisance.
