I noticed that the seven highest covid-death rate states were:

OK, AL, TX, WV, MS, WY, TN. All solid red states.

The 7 lowest states were:

VT, HI, MA, CT, NH, WA, MN. Except for NH, all solid blue states.

This is a CDC website. Should we be skeptical?

Do what everyone on Free Republic does:

if the source posted facts that correlate to your beliefs, then praise the facts and the source.
In this instance, call them FACTS

If the facts contradict your beliefs, then denounce the facts and the source.
In this instance, call them “facts”

Well WV, MS, TN & AL probably have a large percentage of overweight population. Perhaps even elderly, can’t speak for the others but WV also has a diabetes problem and significant numbers of smokers. All contributors to COVID mortality.
