SpaceX and Starlink Revenue is Growing Faster
Next Big Future ^ | 05/24/2023 | Brian Wang

Starlink Mobility (RV and other users) has 300,000 customers who pay $2500 for installation and $250 per month. This is more than the $120 per month for regular residential. The higher charges for mobility/RV users and the higher estimate of Starlink mobility customers, the increase in residential charges of $10 per month, increases the conservative estimated Starlink 2023 revenue by about $1 billion to $17 billion.

If SpaceX is able to increase Starlink satellite dish production to 500,000 dishes per month by mid-2023 then they could make 1 million in first half of 2023 and 3 million in the second half.

And Starlink is independent of earth-based infrastructure.

No. There are ground stations to connect to the Internet.

Bad when the first line of the article is incorrect...”RV” service would be the “Roam” option for $150/mo. and a one-time hardware cost of $599..

https://www.starlink.com/roam

“Mobility” is the “signal while moving” (aircraft/moving vehicle) higher tech (more expensive antenna/receiver) option:

Fixed address residential service is $120./mo. + $599. hardware (+$50 shipping):

I’ve watched a couple of YouTube videos of people who have installed the Starlink mobile service, it’s really amazing, one user was on a 53ft sailing yacht that was sailing from California to French Polynesia in the middle of the Pacific Ocean they were getting over 250mb downloads and conduct video calls with their friends and family

For people able to afford the Yacht and RV lifestyle this service is a godsend

One of my colleagues is out in rural Idaho and his internet was atrocious. His video link was down 70% of the time for conference calls. He just got Starlink and the difference is amazing. He loves it.

I'm having so many problems with Cox internet in the middle of the city that I'm even considering it.

Starlink stock will be HUGE.
Elon Musk said 2025 or 2026 for the stock IPO as he said he has to make more money first. I would think $17 billion is a good start.

Internet, cell phone, radio, tv and movies, sports available everywhere.

I know that the stock trading company Robinhood says with them that you can buy into a IPO like the big players at the lowest cost. I will switch to them when the IPO is about to start for Starlink.
I expect to become very rich.

It won’t work as well in the city, much more interference with signal. It really was designed for rural. It does work though, it’s just not as fast. Still might be faster than what you have. See if can find anyone already using in the city and ask them about it.

We live in the outskirts of Wake Forest, NC where Spectrum hasn’t run cable yet and HughesNet provides pathetic service. We couldn’t get Starlink residential internet yet (it’s coming), so we bought a Starlink RV satellite and put it on our house and we have ; lightning fast internet and streaming. It is absolutely fantastic.

All you people in the rural areas who can’t get decent internet, this is a very real option. Starlink has hit the ball out of the park.

I live in the mountains of eastern Kentucky and was paying $15 for dial up and horrible internet. Then we got Verizon Wireless in 2008 time frame. $110 for “unlimited” but at 22G they throttled you. Speeds were better than dial up but download speed was 15-17 mps and upload 4 mps.

We were offered Starlink equipment for free through some program the county was offering and once I got it installed in a good location it was awesome. 75-150mps or more download and 17-18 mps upload. We dumped Directv and Verizon and pay $99 a month. Work from home, video conferences, streaming for tv all work beautifully.

I installed Starlink for a client who is up in the Montana foothills. It replaced a satellite system that cost $350.00 per month.

He loves it. It took 18 months to get it, but the wait was well worth it.

Yes, it is.

We have an RV (just took it out of winter storage yesterday) and Starlink at home for our internet.

When we are driving we use our cell service, but if we are in a campground way off the beaten path, we set up our Starlink antenna if we have to use the internet. It’s just an additional $25.00 per month and well worth it.

BTW, our RV pays for itself as we rent it out on Outdoorsey and it’s virtually fully booked for the spring and summer.

We were involved in the initial Beta test, here in southern New Hampshire. We have the original round “Dishy” and are delighted with the service!

As an added bonus, since we are in a low demand area, it is only $90/month!

We are able to use the money we saved on internet service on frivolous things like food, thanks to the Biden Economic “Miracle”!

what is the trick to choosing an RV that can stay rented like that? Is there a better age, miles, size, type, etc?

Thanks because I've been thinking about getting one but only if I can rent it enough to pay for it. I'll need to pay for storage at about $150 per month.

Nope...you still need electricity.

(Sure, there could be some with solar or other means of personal electrical power.)
