If memory serves correctly, endorsing somebody does not mean that Trump had to do the campaigning for them, and if they lost, it was their fault. Trump could not hold each of the candidates' hands and take them over the line. That's not what endorsing somebody means.

Many of those candidates for the republicans had weak opponents, but they expected to win automatically because Trump endorsed them, or they didn't battle enough to win.
