California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) on Tuesday slammed Target’s chief executive for pulling LGBTQ and Pride Month merchandise off of store shelves after facing backlash and threats of violence from some customers.
“CEO of Target Brian Cornell selling out the LGBTQ+ community to extremists is a real profile in courage. This isn’t just a couple stores in the South. There is a systematic attack on the gay community happening across the country,” Newsom wrote in a tweet Tuesday night.
“Wake up America. This doesn’t stop here. You’re black? You’re Asian? You’re Jewish? You’re a woman? You’re next,” the California governor continued.

On Tuesday, Target announced it was making “adjustments to our plans” to promote and sell Pride Month merchandise, which has been on sale since the beginning of May, ahead of Pride Month in June. Target attributed the decision to “volatile circumstances” that were impacting staff’s “sense of safety and well-being while at work.”
The left continues to equate sexual fetishes with being black.
Normal people aren’t buying it.

This is another not a boycott. Boycotts are intended to get concessions from businesses and after the concessions are made the boycott ends and everything returns to normal. With bud light and now this it is a decision not to patronize. For me it will not be over when the concessions are made. We are going to say we won? We have not won. They are temporarily backing down expecting business to return just like after they booted Salvation Army kettles and opened the bathrooms to everyone. I shop there sometimes but I try to buy at other places whenever possible. We went to Target and bought a wagon in April but before that it was Christmas and I haven’t been there since. As an expression of dissatisfaction I closed my target app account and deleted the app from my phone. It will stay deleted.

This has nothing to do with this as it is “targeting” the right with the problem, again. There are a certain amount of people in the country, I feel a majority, that do not agree with the presentation of gay activities and their support. Target has been a huge contributor to the gay community to the point of ignoring requests for support to the military to include requested one time contributions while pouring money into gay groups. Their inventory and attempted sales of LGBT... products is an example.
The retailer said that it has offered products to go along with Pride month for more than a decade. Pride Month is June, and celebrates lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people and issues. This is an example of people professing a recreational sexual posture trying to normalize something that is not widely accepted and calling it diversity. Yet at the same time the gay community is making every effort to exceed the societal acceptable exposure of sexual behavior.
And if they were selling, why pull only some of the items off the sales floor? Because the public is speaking to them and they are listening about the bottom line. So they blame the right, and remove the items gathering dust. Now we have the existence of two lies rather than just one big one.
