Here's an interesting interaction between President Trump and DeSantis, following Trump's 2018 state of the union address to Congress. As Trump wends his way through a group of Republican members of Congress, as he exits the floor of the House, he briefly exchanges words with various members of the House, including DeSantis. The relevant part starts at 1:40:38.

DeSantis has never been ungrateful for Trump’s help in 2018.
DeSantis stood by Trump in 2020, but Trump didn’t need much help because Florida was already trending more and more red under DeSantis’ leadership.
Then, in 2022, Trump attacked DeSantis before the election, giving help to Charlie Crist because Trump saw DeSantis as a threat.
Since 2020, Trump has come out against social conservatives openly. He has aligned himself with the RINOs in the party and continues to do so.
DeSantis has charted a true conservative book of accomplishments in Florida and stands for everything FReepers believe in.
Only In your head!…..
What’s untrue? Trump attacked DeSantis early and often. Trump is critical of DeSantis for going after Disney. If you want to say that’s politics, that’s fine. But it’s not untrue.
I do like what DeSantis is doing in Fl, but those slimy democratic tricks they’re pulling really turn my stomach.
The loop hole that the legislature has created so DeSantis doesn’t have to resign to run for President and how they’ve made DeSantis travel records not available to the public.
DeSantis has democratic tendencies and has lost my support.
That is right Thanks to Trump, DeSantis would not have been elected. I don’t blame Trump for going after DeSantis. DeSantis should have stayed out of the 2024 race and would have been a shoe in for 2028. With the corporate donors and now Elon who gets his money indirectly from the CCP DeSantis will be a puppet for them in the White House. Bottom line DeSantis does not have experience to run a country that badly needs a strong leader.
